Schools in all parts of the UK have been closed to students except vulnerable children and key staff. The UK government has confirmed that this year’s GCSEs and A-levels in England are being suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic for the second year in a row. Scotland and Wales have already announced they will cancel examinations at major schools. A number of professional studies in England, including BTECs, are still in progress – there is also more pressure to cancel them.
