Coronavirus: China warns of travel with Wuhan virus – BBC News

Chinese authorities have called for nine people to enter Wuhan city and travel abroad.

8.9 million people living in the city have also been told to avoid crowds and minimize public meetings.

The new virus has spread from Wuhan to several provinces in China, as well as to the US, Thailand and South Korea.

There are 440 cases where the seafood market originated from “illegal wildlife transactions”.

“Basically, don’t go to Wuhan. And those in Wuhan, please don’t leave the city,” National Health Committee Minister Li Bin said in one of the first public briefings since the outbreak.
