Medical leaders have warned of a delay in the second dose of the vaccine "weakens efficiency" – BBC News

Senior doctors have called on the Government to shorten the gap between the first and second doses of Pfizer-Biotech coronavirus vaccines. In a letter to the Medical Director General of England (seen by the BBC) from the medical union, the BMA said the gap of up to 12 weeks was “difficult to justify” and warned that it could undermine the effectiveness of the vaccine. The government has argued that delaying the second dose is life-saving because many people will receive the first dose of the vaccine faster. Kate Silverton reported on BBC News health correspondent Anna Collinson. Please subscribe HERE http://bit.ly/1rbfUog .
