In the City of the Sun there is a mysterious Russian cult known as the Church of the Last Covenant. Its leader was the Vissarion traffic police but now believes it is the second coming of Jesus Christ. Last September, armed security officials took the City of the Sun and arrested Vissario and two of his closest aides. Vissarion’s followers have been deprived of funds and accused of physically or mentally abusing them. Russian BBC’s Nataliya Zotova traveled to Siberia to learn more about what happened.
