Over the weekend, a 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck the northeastern coast of Japan, shaking the entire nation, causing massive damage, and injuring at least 100 people, according to the Japan Times. Among the structural losses in the earthquake was Ebisu Circuit, a popular racecourse famous for its drifting scenery in the country.

Photos and videos shared online of the post-earthquake facility show some severely damaged sections that it looks like will take a significant amount of time and money to repair. There are also parts of the facility that were completely covered in mud and dirt due to landslides. It is not a pretty sight.

Ebisu, located three and a half hours north of Tokyo, is built on the side of a mountain and features a number of trail layouts, with stunning views. It is famous for the copious amount of drift events that it takes place every year.
