The famous 1906 earthquake that struck San Francisco and the Gulf region 114 years ago this Saturday.

“If people just add to their shopping list, they can just put them on a shelf in a dedicated locker, they will be well on their way to prepare for an earthquake,” Artiseros said.

Lieutenant KCBS radio said that a plan and water will be essential if and when the next natural disaster occurs.

The US Geological Survey describes the 1906 earthquake as “one of the most important earthquakes ever.” It is estimated that more than 3,000 people were killed directly or indirectly due to the earthquake, which caused property damage in excess of $ 400 million at that time and destroyed about 28,000 buildings.
