The earthquake felt 3.7 in the Los Angeles area early Wednesday morning – Press Press

Englewood – A 3.7-magnitude earthquake jolted southern California on Wednesday morning, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The earthquake, centered near the unlisted View Park Windsor Hills area near Englewood, struck at 12:03 am at a depth of just over 7 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Initially reported as USGS 3.8.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted at 12:25 am, “Our Los Angeles Fire Department has been active to conduct its routine city survey to assess any damage. City teams will continue to monitor.”

The earthquake was felt at Los Angeles International Airport, but there were no reports of damage or injuries. An airport official said an inspection of the airport’s facilities was under way, but the operations were not affected.
