Russian ambassador Andrei Karlov has been shot dead in Turkey – BBC News

A gun has shot dead Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov in protest of Russia’s alleged involvement in the Syrian conflict. Several other people were also injured in the attack, following protests in Russia’s intervention in Syria in Turkey. According to Russian television, the ambassador went to a demonstration called “Russia was seen by the Turks.”
Police later “neutralized” the shipowner, reports say, without giving details. Mr. Karlov was rushed to the hospital, but his death was later confirmed. (video posted before the death was reported))
