A “big explosion” rocked parts of southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts around 7 p.m. Tuesday. Some said on social media that they believed a tree had fallen or there was an earthquake. It turns out the blast came from a gender reveal party.

Kingston Police responded to Torromeo Industries on a periodic route of investigation. They discovered that the earth-shaking explosion was caused by an explosion of about 80 pounds of tanneryt, which police said was a “explosive target” used to practice firearms.

The explosion was so big that it was captured with a doorbell camera.
