The US Embassy in Poland posts videos pushing back LGBT hatred
US Embassy in Poland posted a video on Wednesday condemning LGBT hatred and using the hashtag #WordsMatter.
As Pride Month ends its last day, the embassy released a video of people reading hateful comments that had remained under embassy embassies on social media.
According to the BBC, some of the comments include the claim that members of the LGBT community have been brainwashed.

The video follows controversial comments made by Polish government officials regarding LGBT rights.
On Monday, Polish Education Minister Przemyslaw Czarnek said in an interview with the conservative Sieci press that Poland should copy a Hungarian law that would ban any school material thought to promote homosexuality. according to Reuters.
“This law says that school lessons that address sexuality issues should not promote gender reassignment or homosexuality,” Czarnek was quoted as saying, according to Reuters.“We must copy these regulations on Polish soil in their entirety!”
Furthermore, he asked if people taking part in a march supporting LGBT rights earlier this month were normal, and said the march was an “insult to public morals”. Reuters reported.
He reportedly clarified that his statements had to do with whether people’s behaviors were normal and did not refer to the participants.
In March, Reuters reported that Poland had announced plans to ban same-sex couples from being able to adopt children, even as single parents.
Deputy Minister of Justice Michal Wojcik said the banit had to do with the child’s safety, his well-being, although LGBT rights activists and others have backed down against this assertion.
