Drugs with knife: Teenager stabbed to death on tennis court, while seven people arrested

A teenager has died tragically after being stabbed in a London park, police said.

The victim, 18, was found with fatal injuries on a tennis court in Montrose Park, Edgware around 6pm on Monday.

Rescuers rushed to the scene to rescue him but he was pronounced dead just over an hour later.

Seven men have been arrested on suspicion of criminal offenses including fraud and attempted murder, Metropolitan Police said.

All are in police custody.

Their ages have not yet been released by force.

A crime scene remains in place and officers are working to determine if there are any further injuries reported.

Anyone who remains in the area is being asked to “leave and go home,” a statement added.

He said: “Officers were called at 5:54 p.m. Monday, May 31 in Montrose Park, Edgware, following reports from a group of men fighting.

“Officers responded and found an 18-year-old male suffering from a knife injury on a tennis court.

“He was treated by the London Air Ambulance and the London Ambulance Service at the scene. Despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at 19:19.

“Police are working to inform his relative. Official identification and a post-mortem examination will follow in due course.”
