COVID-19 infection increases when Pork County reaches a vaccination rate of 49%
Currently, nearly half of Pork County’s eligible population has been vaccinated against COVID-19 at least once, but the county’s weekly total number of cases and positive rates are increasing.

The numbers showed a slight increase from the 48% reported in the county a week ago. The state recorded 3,971 vaccinations in pork during the week of June 18-24. This is a slight decrease from the previous week’s total.
The agency reported 402 newly confirmed infectious diseases in Pork County, up 10.7% from the previous week. The weekly positive rate was 4.4%, but last week it was 4%.
Pork was 55.9 per 100,000 inhabitants, slightly higher than the state-wide proportion.

Across the state, the ministry reported an additional 11,873 infections, with a cumulative total of over 2.32 million. The weekly positive rate was 3.8%, up from 3.3% last week. The agency reported 44 new deaths associated with COVID-19.
Last week, more than 281,000 Floridians were vaccinated. This is a 32% decrease from last week’s figures. Overall, 57% of eligible Floridians receive at least one dose.
The lowest proportion of vaccines is in the 12-19 year old group (28%), 20-29 years old (36%), and 30-39 years old (43%).
The group aged 30-39 had the highest new infection rate of 80.7 per 100,000. By comparison, the proportion of people aged 65 and over was 25.3 per 100,000.
