Beware of respiratory viruses
Respiratory syncytial virus is sweeping eastern Texas. In places such as day care, nursing homes and schools, you need to worry about this. RSV, like COVID-19, has the most detrimental effects on groups over 50 and infants and can cause similar problems. Whether vaccinated or not, we reiterate the importance of masks and social distance.
Personally, I was infected with RSV a week and a half ago, but it was worse than COVID-19 in young adults / late teens. RSV is a problem and not interesting. Bring our community to the attention of this issue and help people stay safe.
