Health Department in Northwest Missouri Makes Recommendations As COVID-19 Delta Variants Become Widespread
Kansas City, Missouri — Twelve health departments in northwestern Missouri have collaborated to issue public health recommendations.
This recommendation is issued as the number of cases and hospitalizations for COVID-19 increases as the delta variant spreads.
Health officials said unvaccinated people are at greatest risk of getting the virus.
Correspondingly, they “strongly recommend” that residents be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Public health recommendations also state that unvaccinated persons wear masks during activities that require close contact with public places, crowded outdoor environments, and other unvaccinated persons. It states that it is necessary.
