BB Healthcare, which hosts a free flu vaccination clinic at Sussex.
Lewis, Delaware – Beebe Healthcare will re-open a free flu vaccine vaccination clinic this fall throughout Sussex County.
Clinics will be announced over a two-week period from September to November, as demand exceeded supply last year, officials said.
Birchasanov DO, Chief Population Health Officer at BB Healthcare, said: “These are all easy ways to help reduce the total number of cases of influenza, COVID-19, and other respiratory illnesses during this fall and winter.”
Although COVID-19 is still active, the CDC recommends that everyone over 6 months be vaccinated against the flu to protect themselves during the 2021-22 flu season. The CDC also recommends that individuals be vaccinated before influenza activity begins in the community, suggesting that September and October are good times to be vaccinated against influenza. ..
The influenza vaccine clinics that will be offered in the coming weeks are:
- Monday, September 27, 9 am-1pm – Beebi Healthcare Lighthouse Plaza, Rehobos
- Tuesday, September 28, 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm – Georgetown, First State Community Action Agency
- Wednesday, September 29, 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm – Crossroads Community Church, Georgetown
- Sunday, October 3 9 am-1pm – Epworth Church in Rehoboth Beach
- Monday, October 4th, 9 am-1pm – BB Healthcare Lighthouse Plaza.Rehobos
- Tuesday, October 5th, noon to 6pm – Camp Rehoboth, Rehoboth Beach
- Thursday, October 7th 10 am-2pm – Lewis Senior Center, Lewis
- Saturday, October 9th, noon to 3:00 pm – Beebe Lab Express Rt 24 Health Campus, Rehoboth
- Monday, October 11th, 9am-1pm – Beebi Healthcare Lighthouse Plaza, Rehobos
