Brookline (CBS) – The town of Brookline requires a COVID vaccination certificate to enter many businesses from Saturday.
Proof is required at seated restaurants, gyms and entertainment venues. This requirement does not apply to companies that only offer takeaway food.
The town said new orders would start in stages. Starting Saturday, people over the age of 12 must submit proof that they have received at least one COVID vaccine. Phase 2 begins on February 22nd and you need to prove that everyone over the age of 12 is fully vaccinated.
The third phase begins on March 22nd and customers aged 5-11 years must indicate that they have received at least one dose. By May 1, all customers over the age of 5 must be fully vaccinated to enter the applicable business.
Violators will be fined $ 300.
Public security, public health, and rescue personnel are exempt from this policy.
Vaccination proof is not required for anyone entering the business for “quick and limited purposes” such as using the toilet or ordering takeaway.
Schools, childcare facilities, senior centers and community centers are not affected.
