Two additional monkeypox cases identified in Louisiana

Baton Rouge, Louisiana (WAFB)-According to the Louisiana Health Department, two new cases of monkeypox have been identified in Louisiana. This brings the total number of cases in the state to three.

According to state officials, all three reported cases are from the New Orleans region.

The Louisiana Department of Health is working closely with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to identify future cases in the state.

Doctors are also encouraged to pay attention to the patient’s symptoms.
