Growing measles outbreak in Ohio fuels vaccine hesitation
December 20, 2022 – Ohio’s measles epidemic continues to escalate, with cases now totaling 81, a 37% increase in just two weeks.
Leading health officials in the outbreak said hesitance to vaccines was the driving force behind the spread. Most of the infected children were not vaccinated, but were old enough to be vaccinated against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR).
