Escanaba, Michigan (WLUC) – Cases of blastomycosis continue to increase in Delta County associated with paper mills. We are analyzing what we know about the infection and how it is affecting people’s lives.
Kathleen Linder, clinical assistant professor of infectious diseases at the University of Michigan, said, “This shows me that doctors in that area, especially the upper peninsula of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, have a lot of experience in treating them. is what we know,” he said.
