Former Alabama hotspot Auburn Regional Hospital peaks with coronavirus patients
Auburn area hospitals One of Alabama’s earliest hotspots in a coronavirus pandemic Monday said there were more COVID-19 inpatients in the eastern Alabama outbreak in late March and early April.
Opelika’s East Alabama Medical Center has 58 patients hospitalized with the new coronavirus, surpassing the record high of 54 sets on April 11.

Increasing numbers of patients are also putting a strain on healthcare professionals.
