Lomen is helping to organize an influenza vaccination clinic throughout Minnesota. She says these clinics look a little different this year because of a pandemic.
“We are looking at different ways to do that. We plan to host some public drive-through clinics,” she said. “Many of our big companies host outdoor events. Many schools will host outdoor events.”
Lomen recommends that even if most employees work remotely, they should contact their employer to see if they are vaccinated against the flu in the field. She says most clinics still offer flu vaccinations this year. If not, they should be able to send you to whom.
Although no official recommendations have been issued this season for when to get a flu shot, the CDC does not expect a significant change in the timeline. of CDC says August is too earlyBut you can shoot in September.
