Supreme Court upholds broader access to abortion pills
Today, the Supreme Court issued a unanimous decision Rejected the effort Severely restricting access to mifepristone, the drug used in the majority of abortions in the United States.
The decision is a victory for abortion access advocates and means that the pill will remain widely available for the time being.
Writing for the court, Justice Brett Kavanaugh found that the plaintiffs, a group of anti-abortion doctors and organizations, lacked standing to sue because they had failed to prove they were harmed by the availability of the abortion drug. But he did not rule out other lawsuits that states could bring to limit access to the drug.
Anti-abortion activists said after the ruling that they would continue to try to unravel the Food and Drug Administration's approval of the pill, whose claims that the drug is harmful have been rejected by mainstream scientists.
In the meantime, access to mifepristone will likely continue through telemedicine, an easier and cheaper option for women in states where it's banned. Travel to another state.

'Bridgerton' makes history
“Bridgerton,” a drama about powerful women swooning to an orchestral version of Ariana Grande, takes a fairly liberal approach to history.

What would you do if you came across a lot of money?
Two weeks ago, a magnet fisherman and his partner pulled a safe full of $100 bills from a creek in Queens. It was the find of a lifetime, but the bills were in tatters. So after scraping together $140 for a bus ticket, he stuffed the cash into a backpack and headed to Washington.
Speaking in the lobby of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, two Treasury Department officials estimated the value of the stolen goods at about $50,000 to $70,000, and the couple could recover the full amount in new, undamaged bills in about nine months. “America beautiful!” said the magnet fisherman.
Have a happy evening.
