CDC Recommends COVID-19 and Flu Vaccines as Cases Rise
Due to the recent increase in reported COVID-19 cases and new variants, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending up-to-date vaccinations against both COVID and influenza ahead of the fall and winter viral seasons.
“Ahead of the respiratory virus season, make plans for you and your family to get both an up-to-date flu vaccine and a COVID-19 vaccine this fall,” CDC Director Mandy Cohen said in a statement Thursday.
