Health officials encourage vaccination patience
The Cascade Municipal Health Department said Great Falls medical institutions were overwhelmed by calls from residents seeking COVID-19 vaccination.

Authorities urge the general public to schedule online at 9 am on Thursday, rather than calling.
Reservation slots are only available to those over 70 years old. To schedule a reservation, you will need a valid email address and ID at the time of booking indicating that you are at least 70 years old.
Vaccinations will take place at the Family Living Center (400 3rd St. NW) at Montana Expo Park in Great Falls. Those who do not have a reservation will be refused.
Governor Greg Gianforte announced on Tuesday that the state has entered Phase 1B of its vaccination program. This includes people over the age of 70, people between the ages of 16 and 69 who are in good health, and people of color who may be at high risk.
However, because the number of residents of Cascade County who are eligible for Phase 1B exceeds the current vaccine supply, the county limits vaccines to people over the age of 70.
Benefis estimates that it will take four weeks for the first dose of the vaccine to be given to all people in Cascade County who are eligible for Phase 1B.
As of Tuesday, 57,221 vaccines have been given in Montana, and 9,408 Montanas have been fully vaccinated. In other words, I am vaccinated with both vaccines.
Montana will add 295 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday
Montana added 295 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the state to a total of 89,864.
There are 4,946 active cases of the virus, 83,825 recovery, and 1,093 deaths. There are 163 active hospitalizations out of a total of 3,992 hospitalizations. The state has conducted 2,260 new tests since Monday.
Cascade County reported 26 new cases on Tuesday. The county has 580 active cases, 6,476 recovery and 122 deaths. As of Monday, the Great Falls Public School reported 19 active COVID-19 cases across the district.
Great Falls High School had the largest number of seven active cases. CM Russell High School had three active cases.
Gallatin County reported 78 new COVID-19 cases, Yellowstone County reported 42 cases, Missoula County reported 39 cases, and Lewis and Clark County reported 28 cases.
