Oregon reports 619 new confirmed estimated COVID-19 cases, 23 new deaths
Portland, Oregon. — There are 23 new COVID-19-related deaths in Oregon, increasing the state’s death to 1,981. The Oregon Department of Health reported today at 12:01 am.
The Oregon Department of Health reported 619 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 am today, bringing the total to 143,978 cases across the state.
Vaccination in Oregon
Today, OHA reports that 15,967 COVID-19 vaccinations have been added to the state’s vaccination registry. Of this total, 10,712 doses were given on February 1st and 5,255 times the day before, but were enrolled in the vaccine registry on February 1st.
Cumulative daily totals can take several days to finalize, as providers have 72 hours to report the dose administered and many providers are behind in reporting due to technical challenges. OHA has provided technical support to vaccination sites to improve the timeliness of data entry into the state’s ALERT Vaccination Information System (IIS).
Oregon is currently receiving a cumulative total of 454,246 COVID-19 vaccines for the first and second doses. To date, 696,100 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites throughout Oregon.

COVID-19 hospitalization
There were 262 patients admitted to COVID-19 throughout Oregon, nine fewer than yesterday. There are 61 COVID-19 patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) bed, three fewer than yesterday.
The total number of patients in bed can fluctuate during reporting times. This number does not reflect the number of hospital stays or length of stay per day. This data does not include personnel limits and may further limit bed capacity.
