Another 10 died and 412 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Northern Ireland
There were 10 more Covid-19-related deaths in Northern Ireland, confirmed by health officials.
Four of the deaths are said to have occurred within the latest reporting period, and the other six are said to have occurred during the rest of the period.
Since the beginning of last year’s pandemic, a total of 1,899 Covid-19s have now died in Northern Ireland.
According to the NI Ministry of Health, 412 new virus cases have also been identified.
To date, 105,637 cases have been confirmed in Northern Ireland.
Last week alone, 3,205 positive tests were recorded in the north.

Currently, there are 671 Covid-19 patients in Northern Ireland hospitals, 68 of whom are in the intensive care unit (ICU).
The 7-day incidence of the virus in NI is currently 170.3 per 100,000 population.
At a press conference Wednesday evening, NI Health Minister Robin Swan said they remained high while infection rates were declining north, forcing frontline staff to deal with immeasurable pressure. I warned that it was done.
The minister urged people in the north to stay home to reduce infection rates and give healthcare workers “breathing space.”
“They can’t continue this way,” he said.
“Sadly, this pandemic isn’t over yet. There are more challenges.”
