Residents of Madison County have a British variant of the coronavirus, says the Alabama Public Health Service.
The Alabama Public Health Service said Thursday that a resident of Madison County was one of eight people in Alabama who were tested positive for a British variant of the coronavirus.
No other information about the person has been released, such as when the test was positive or the condition.

The Alabama Public Health Service (ADPH) has partnered with several private and commercial laboratories in the state to make COVID more contagious and potentially disrupt current progress in case reduction in the state. We are expanding our ability to identify 19 strains.
