Massachusetts Adds Type 1 Diabetes and Other Medical Conditions to Coronavirus Vaccine Eligibility List
People with type 1 diabetes, certain neurological conditions, immunodeficiencies, or substance use disorders are one of the Massachusetts residents who will be vaccinated against the coronavirus vaccine from Monday.
The Baker administration updated its list of medical comorbidities on Friday to better align it with the new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance on who should be prioritized for potentially life-saving shots.
New to the list are suffering from dementia and neurological conditions, type 1 diabetes, stroke, overweight, and substance use disorders. Other existing categories, such as those that include immunity, have been extended to incorporate more people.
