Iowa reports that more than 2.2 million COVID-19 vaccines have been given
(KTIV)-Health authorities in Iowa report that 23,221 people have completed the vaccine series. This means that 974,735 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
As of Sunday morning The state COVID-19 vaccine dashboard Residents of Iowa were vaccinated a total of 2,208,973 times.
Between 10 am Saturday and 10 am Sunday, there were 220 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state.So far, Iowa reports that 362,898 people have tested positive for the virus.
Of those who tested positive, 344,346 recovered, an increase of 213 from yesterday.
The Iowa COVID-19 dashboard reports an additional 20 virus-related deaths, with a state death toll of 5,927.
Subtracting recovery (344,346) and deaths (5,927) from the total number of cases (362,898) shows that there are currently 12,638 active positive cases in the state.
According to the latest report from the Iowa Public Health Service, there were 187 viral hospitalizations, down from 209 reported on Saturday. Of these hospitalizations, 47 are in the ICU and 21 are on ventilator.
In Iowa, 1,276 test results have been reported in the last 24 hours, with a total of 1,698,324 people tested for COVID-19.
