144,000 Genetically Modified Mosquitoes Released in Florida – NBC6 South Florida
Nearly 144,000 GM mosquitoes will be released this week in South Florida as part of an effort to reduce the number of mosquitoes that carry the disease.
The groundbreaking release of GMO insects marks the beginning of a US approval program to control the number of Aedes aegypti in the region.
