“Weakly Positive” Covid-19 Fragment Found Again in Wastewater in Wellington Area | 1 News
Wellingtons with Covid-19 symptoms are advised to be tested on weekends and Mondays after the results of weaker positive coronavirus are detected in wastewater samples collected from the area.

New samples were collected from Moa Point, Polylua, Hat Valley, and Calori, after two previous samples from Moa Point servicing central Wellington returned weak positive results.
According to the Ministry of Health, weak positive results were detected in the samples of Polylua and Calori on Sunday.
Samples from these two areas on Saturday and Monday returned negative results.
Further samples tested from MorePoint and Hat Valley did not detect virus fragments on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Additional samples were collected yesterday and the ministry hopes to provide up-to-date information on those results tomorrow.
According to the ministry, current assessments are likely to give weak positive results as recently recovered cases continue to shed the virus.
People with symptoms consistent with Covid-19 will be notified by the Department of Health to stay at home and call Healthline to be tested, especially if they are in the Wellington area or have recently visited.
