Aurora mass vaccination site closed permanently
Kane County, Illinois — Officials from the Kane County Health Department announced Wednesday that the Aurora mass vaccination site would be completely shut down.
Those who have scheduled vaccination appointments at the Aurora location will be rescheduled for appointments at the Kane Vax Hub on Randall Road, Batavia. Health officials said the Aurora Bucks site provided residents with about 27,000 COVID-19 vaccines, but the site is no longer needed due to declining demand.
“With the help of [our] Dear partners, we were able to provide protection against the virus when the vaccine was in greatest demand, “said Kathy Fosser, Interim Executive Director of KCHD.
