Motorsport UK’s response to Natural Resources Wales

Motorsport UK has been notified by Natural Resources Wales (NRW) that the Darragh storm in December 2024 has caused significant damage to forest land.

The damage forced NRW to cancel two events scheduled to be held on its property – the North Wales Rally on March 29 and the Severn Valley Stages on April 12.

Motorsport UK has been informed by NRW that 20% of the site has been surveyed by drone due to difficulties in safe access to the site. Moreover, they were unable to access some forest blocks at all to properly assess the damage. NRW is expected to continue its investigation over the coming weeks.

Updates on future events beyond the end of April may depend on the results of the investigation.
