Net Zero is the new remnant and it will destroy Boris' Tories
Net Zero will destroy the administration of Boris Johnson in the same way that Brexit destroyed that of David Cameron. None of Boris' smart advisers and colleagues – neither Dom Cummings nor Michael Gove – seem to have understood this yet. But others can see it coming a kilometer away.

She is absolutely right.

Precisely. Net Zero is the new Remain. The liberal elite who fought so hard to prevent Brexit from withdrawing now have recourse to their second line of defense: the so-called "climate emergency".
This will allow the Remain Establishment to do much the same as when Britain was a member of the European Union: rewarding buddies; increase regulation; increase prices; restrict freedoms; pass like a drunken sailor; crush the little people.
This is not why people voted for Boris Johnson. It represents the most terrible betrayal not only of the aspirations of ordinary people but also of Boris' promises of a vibrant future outside the EU.
We are already seeing signs of rebellion. According to a survey for Sun, almost half of Conservative voting motorists say they will abandon the party in the next election if the Chancellor increases fuel taxes in his budget.
And this is only the beginning. Boris may be an idiot in politics, but he is very good in politics. Hopefully his finely tuned conservation skills will make sense of it before it's too late.
