The Oakland Athletics team did not sweep the San Francisco Giants at the 1989 World Championships, but dominated the giants in every possible way.

When one thinks of the 1989 World Series, there is one lasting image – shaking on the ground before the third game begins. The global series between Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants will be determined forever by this earthquake, a tragedy captured directly on the field.
