Seattle, Washington. (KOMO) – After being severely ill with COVID-19, Richard Solis returned to the hospital and saved him to apologize for not being vaccinated.
“I deeply regret not having decided to vaccinate,” Solis apologized to hospital staff.
“No one blames or judges you,” replied Dr. Jamestown, a pulmonologist. “I think everyone is happy that you are willing to share the story, and I am happy that you are better.”

He points out social media as one of the reasons he didn’t get the COVID vaccine. He was reading about microchip side effect claims and questions about government approval.
He didn’t know who got sick until he couldn’t breathe.
“At that time, I really knew I was in a bad situation,” Solis said.
He says he was embarrassed when hospital staff asked him if he had been vaccinated.
“Because this virus is real, vaccinate it. It’s real enough to kill someone and put you in the ICU,” Solis said.
Solis hopes his message will ease the burden on nurses and doctors.
“It’s amazing because you never actually see people get that much better. It definitely makes you feel worth it, do you know?” Nurse Kimmy Siebens said. “We devote much of our hearts to care and anxiety.”
Since then, Solis has been vaccinated against COVID-19.
