Guns in Chicago: A Night on the Front Line of Violence

It is a city in the shadow of gun violence: 345 people have been killed so far this year. Most of them have been killed by guns.

The numbers are pretty staggering – there were 40 shootings in seven hours earlier this month. Chicago’s broken communities feel abandoned – with little faith in the police – not even in their political leaders. Police say the collaboration is difficult.

Paraic O´Brien is in Chicago, where he found them on the front lines of violence.
