SAN JOSE, CA (AFP) – Jeremy Ibobisi tied a free kick in the 52nd minute and then defended after a 72nd minute corner kick to give the San Jose Earthquakes a 2-2 draw against Nashville on Saturday.

The 25-year-old forward beat Joe Willis to the right of the keeper from 22 yards, then scored from the front after Jan Gregos redirected a corner kick for Cristian Espinosa. It was the second straight game for Ibobis, who also scored twice in the 4-3 loss in Houston on April 9. His five goals this season tied him at the top of the league.

Hani Mokhtar scored in the 38th and 63rd minutes in favor of Nashville (3-2-2), the first in a single round that started in the Nashville run, and the second in a half-ball after she knocked a throw-in through the goal net.
