Erdoan warns: 'Israel's next target is Trkiye'

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoan criticized the expansion of Israeli military operations in the Middle East, saying that “Trkiye could be the next target of Israeli aggression.”

“I warn Israel. a ground operation in Lebanon will not be an attack like any other,” he said.

Ankara evacuates Turkish citizens from Lebanon

Stating that “there is a possibility that the security situation in Lebanon will deteriorate further,” the Trkiye Foreign Ministry announced preparations for a possible evacuation of Turkish citizens from Lebanon by air and sea.

“In coordination with the relevant institutions, alternative plans have been prepared for the evacuation of our citizens by sea or air from Lebanon,” writes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. statement read.

The ministry is coordinating with around 20 countries to facilitate the evacuation of foreign nationals through Trkiye.

“Guidelines for the evacuation of third-country citizens via Trkiye have also been identified and the necessary preparations are underway in cooperation with almost 20 countries that have requested support,” the ministry said.

It was noted that a “Coordination and Support Center” has been established to manage the process.
