Grobogan residents enthusiastically welcome Jokowi's arrival
Residents of Grobogan Regency, Central Java, enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of Ir Joko Widodo. They also followed the jeep carrying Jokowi, Central Java Deputy Governor Ahmad Luthfi and Taj Yasin, on Jalan Suprapto Purwodadi.
Some residents were even willing to run to get a t-shirt of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia. Some of them also shouted to call Iriana Jokowi's husband.
While walking slowly, the group of cars handed out T-shirts by throwing them into the crowd. Residents also rushed to get t-shirts with Ahmad Luthfi's photo on them.
Hundreds of supporters were seen working hard to secure the parade. The group of jeeps stopped in front of Muhammadiyah Vocational School, Suryalaksana Supermarket and in front of the old Glendoh Market.
Jokowi, who was accompanied by a procession of patwals, paskibraka and cultural parades, smiled broadly at the enthusiastic Grobogan residents thronging along Jl R Suprapto.
Meanwhile, in the back row, a truck was seen following the group as they distributed bread to local residents.
Thousands of residents have been waiting for Jokowi's arrival since the morning, some even took the time to participate in Car Free Day while waiting for Jokowi's arrival.
Around 10 a.m., they gathered on the outskirts of Jalan R Suprapto, wearing supportive attributes such as flag t-shirts, etc.
Pennants, banners and banners with photos of Jokowi, Prabowo and the Deputy Governor-Cawagub Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin couple were displayed along the Jl R Suprapto Purwodadi.
According to the schedule, Jokowi left his residence in Solo around 09:00 WIB. Jokowi, who came in his private vehicle, arrived in Simpang Lima Purwodadi around 10.00 WIB and got into a jeep.
Then, the vehicles moved north on Jl R Suprapto accompanied by a cultural arts parade. Jokowi and the Luthfi-Yasin couple were taken in a jeep to the cheap food exchange location opposite Glendoh Old Market.
Throughout the carnival, Jokowi was seen handing out t-shirts to the public and occasionally pointing at the Luthfi-Yasin couple behind him.
Upon arriving in front of Glendoh Old Market, Jokowi immediately got off the jeep to meet Jokowi's volunteers and chatted for a while.
Jokowi then left the scene to return to his waiting car in Jl, Purwodadi, Central Java.
When met by reporters, Jokowi admitted that he was invited by the Luthfi-Yasin campaign team to attend this activity.
“I was invited, I came, I saw the extraordinary enthusiasm of the people,” he said on Sunday (11/17).
