Peter Mandelson has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and interviewed at a London police station by police who saw the former UK government minister and British ambassador to the US being taken from his London home in an unmarked car. It is being investigated for sharing market intelligence with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted as a government minister. Lord Mandelson has not commented publicly on the Epstein files in recent weeks, but the BBC understands his position has always been that he acted in no way criminally and was not motivated by financial gain.
