PDIP continues to launch satirical stories against Jokowi
JAKARTA, VICTORYNEWS – The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) continues to launch satirical stories of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), openly and on various occasions.
During a speech commemorating the birth of Pancasila, Monday (1/6/2026) at the PDIP Party School, South Jakarta, PDIP Secretary General (Sekjen) Hasto Kristiyanto mentioned Jokowi’s name.
He pointed out that the various major challenges currently facing President Prabowo Subianto’s government stem from the second period of President Jokowi’s term.

Two days earlier, DPR RI member from NTT constituency Andreas Hugo Pareira suggested Joko Widodo show his original diploma to the public during a political safari in the region.
Hasto pointed out that the various major challenges currently facing President Prabowo Subianto’s government, from the economic sector to the fiscal sector, are old problems that have their roots in the second period of Jokowi’s leadership.
According to Hasto, objectivity is very necessary in examining the current national situation. He stressed that Prabowo’s government cannot be held entirely responsible for the current situation.
“The PDIP considers it important to demonstrate objectivity in examining the national situation. The various economic, tax, governance and social problems that President Prabowo is currently facing are problems largely inherited from Joko Widodo’s government in the second period,” he said, as quoted by Media Indonesia.

Hasto also said that the second term of President Joko Widodo or Jokowi had transformed Indonesia into an authoritarian and populist country.
At first, Hasto regretted that Indonesia’s political and economic democracy had transformed into a centralized democracy. He also mentioned that the Jokowi government brought about this change.
“Especially during President Jokowi’s second term, Indonesia has become a populist and authoritarian country,” Hasto said.
Under Jokowi’s final administration, Hasto said, the legal system became subordinate to power. In fact, law enforcement and the entire state apparatus have been reduced to being tools of electoral mobilization and protectors of the ruling elite.
