One way to mitigate this potential surge is to get this year’s flu vaccination, Lap said.
“I know that vaccination against influenza is not 100% protective,” Lap said. “But if everyone gets it, it’s much more protected than just a handful of people get it.”
The IU Health Center is preparing to organize a mass influenza vaccination clinic from October to early November, Lap said. All students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to be vaccinated.
The health center doesn’t have all the details yet, but students should plan to visit one of the clinics and take advantage of the vaccination offer when they are ready, Lap said. It was. “People keep their eyes open and we want everyone to be vaccinated, so we’ll spread the word,” Rapp said.
