Ukrainian passenger plane crashed in Iran – BBC News

A Ukrainian Boeing-737 has more than 170 people aboard the ship in Iran, authorities say.

The Iranian Red Moon said there was no chance of encountering life.

According to a Fars state news agency, the Ukrainian International Airlines plane departed from Tehran’s Iranian Imam Khomeini airport.

The plane flew to the Kyiv capital of Ukraine. The Ukrainian government has said a crisis team has been formed to investigate the accident.

President Volodymyr Zelensky traveled to Oman and said he was returning to Kyiv.

“My sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of all passengers and crew,” he said in a statement.
