A 24-hour, 24/7 coronavirus vaccine trial that begins within 10 days in some hospitals

The NHS England CEO states that the 24-hour, 24/7 coronavirus vaccine will be tried in some hospitals within 10 days.

Sir Simon Stevens said: “For the next 10 days, some hospitals will start testing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but we are currently vaccinated at a rate of about 140 jabs per minute.”

So far, more than 3.5 million people in the UK have been vaccinated for the first time.

Sir Simon told the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show this morning: ‘250,000 people were vaccinated by the NHS yesterday. Last week, I was vaccinated one and a half times.

“This has increased from about 1 million in the previous week to one-third of the previous week.

“This is a large team effort that brings together the NHS, St. John’s Ambulance, Volunteers, and the Royal Volunteer Society.

“We are vaccinated not only in health centers and hospitals, but also in village offices, rugby clubs, cathedrals, shopping centers and racetracks.

“I think we’re off to a very strong start with everyone coming together to accomplish this.”

His comment comes after the Prime Minister has been pressed for the need to deploy the vaccine faster.

Last Wednesday, he told the House of Commons, not how quickly the vaccine could be injected, but “the supply of the vaccine is currently limited.”

Nevertheless, he told the MP during the Prime Minister’s question: “We will go to 24/7 as soon as we can.”

Sir Simon also issued a harsh warning this morning:

“Surprisingly, every 30 seconds across the UK, another patient is hospitalized with the coronavirus.”

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Dominic Raab said today All adults in the UK should be provided with the first dose of the vaccine by early fall.

He told Sky’s Sophie Ridge on Sunday: ‘Our goal is to provide the first dose to all adults by September. It would be great if it could be faster than that, but that’s the roadmap. “
