‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ actor fired
- ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ has fired lead actor James Snyder from the Broadway production over allegations of misconduct.

‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ lead actor James Snyder fired from Broadway production over misconduct allegations the Associated Press reported.
The producers said Sunday they fired Snyder following an investigation into an initial complaint from a co-star in November, the AP reported.
Snyder had been suspended from his Harry Potter role when the complaint was received in the fall, according to the AP.
The complaint came from Diane Davis, who plays Harry Potter’s wife Ginny Weasley on the show, the BBC reported. She has been on leave from the show since filing the complaint. The nature of the misconduct has not been disclosed.
The show is set 19 years after the famous book series ended, following the main characters’ lives after Hogwarts.
“We are committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace, which is why we have put in place strong workplace policies and procedures for everyone involved in ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,'” says the statement from the producers, according to the AP.
“This includes strict prohibitions against harassment in all its forms, as well as channels through which any employee can report conduct they believe is inappropriate. We will continue to do everything possible to ensure that the extremely talented team that brings this production to feel safe, empowered and fully supported,” the producers said.
The producers of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
