Gunfire breaks out at party in Hollywood Hills area; 2 hits

Two men were struck by gunfire when an altercation at a party in the Hollywood Hills area turned violent overnight.

Video shows Los Angeles Police officers running to a home in the 1600 block of North Crescent Heights Boulevard in the Hollywood Hills West neighborhood just after 12:15 a.m. Monday after receiving numerous reports of state of gunshots.

Investigators determined a party was happening Sunday evening at the home when two groups of men got into an altercation.

Gunfire broke out as one of these groups tried to leave the party, according to witnesses.

Police told KTLA that two men hit and injured by the shooting are expected to survive.

It is unclear what exactly prompted the dispute between the two groups.

Guests were seen fleeing the home after the shooting, but most did not cooperate with the investigation, police said.

Weapons were reportedly found at or near the home.

Two people were arrested following the shooting, but no arrests were immediately reported.
