First Shadow race extended to 2025 – Finger Lakes Daily News
The first staged version of Netflix's hit Stranger Things will remain in London's West End until February 2025.
The producers of Stranger Things: The First Shadow didn't just give up a trailer for production Wednesday, but also announced that its run at the Phoenix Theater had been extended.
In the trailer, we introduce Henry Creel, the young man fans know who eventually becomes the supernatural villain Vecna.
“It's not true. I'm normal”, actor Louis McCartney said in voiceover Henry, whose telekinesis leads him to Hawkins National Laboratory where he is eventually transformed into Vecna.
“You can’t outrun the shadow, Henry,” another voice told him, adding with a shout, “You are the shadow!”
As noted, the production was written by Kate Trefry under the direction of a renowned filmmaker Stephen Daldry And Justin Martin.
It opened to rave reviews on December 14, 2023, and recently won several awards, including Britain's version of the Tonys, the Oliver Awards, for Best Entertainment and Best Set Design.
The series is set in Hawkins, Indiana, in 1959 and focuses on the younger version of some of the show's main characters. Oscar Lloyd plays the younger version of David Harborit's Jim Hopper; Isabelle Pappas pieces Winona Ryderthe character of Joyce; Patrick Vail depicts the younger version of Matthew ModineIt's Dr. Brenner.
