Chase suspect crashes into innocent driver after high-speed chase through Hollywood Hills
Beverly Hills police were pursuing a suspect near Hollywood Hills.
Officers said they began pursuing the suspect after the driver allegedly brandished a weapon. BHPD believes the weapon may be a firearm.
The suspect drove recklessly on the wrong side of the road on Mulholland Drive, narrowly missing oncoming traffic.
He continued to drive at reckless speed through red lights at around 100 mph until he crashed and hit an innocent driver.
The suspect immediately jumped out of the car and fled into an alley while an officer followed closely behind him. The suspect attempted to break into a nearby home. however, the officer managed to arrest him before he could barricade himself inside.
Other officers checked on the other driver, who got out of his car and sat on the sidewalk as firefighters headed to the crash site, at the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Erwin Street.
