Actor In Horror Classic ‘Phantasm’ – Deadline
Kenneth Jones, an actor best remembered for his role as “Guardian” in Phantasm, has passed away. The director of the film, Don Coscarelli, reported the death via Twitter. No age or cause of death was indicated.
Coscarelli said Jones was in “the most memorable scene” of Fantasy. In the 1979 film, the character of Jones was pierced through the head by the big man’s silver sphere. A river of blood was the result. (trigger the warning on the video: it’s bloody).

Prior to Fantasy, Jones appeared in Coscarelli’s comedy in 1976 Kenny & Company, and he later appeared in the 1993 film Hidden fears, with Meg Foster and Frederic Forrest.
